Augusta Ranks 7th Most Resilient Metro Economy in First Quarter 2010

the Brookings Institute ranked the Augusta Metro Area as having the 7th most resilient metro economy in the nation for the first quarter of 2010. Their MetroMonitor Report ranks the 100 largest metro economies in the nation and Augusta's most recent ranking represents an eleven position move from the 18th ranking for the fourth quarter of 2009. Augusta was one of only 10 metropolitan areas that experienced positive job growth in both the first quarter of 2010 and the fourth quarter of 2009.
